Nathan had rectangular container 8 cm long and 9 cm wide. He filled it with water to a depth of 6 cm. He then added 6 red marbles, 2 blue marbles, and 4 green marbles all of equal size to the container. The depth of the water became 7.5 cm. Find the volume of one red marble.

Thank you for sharing this task. It is a great one for the Three Reads as there are so many different quantities at play– dimensions of the container, depth of water, volume of the container, number of marbles, volume of marbles, etc. It’s a great task to dig into quantities, for sure.
